The famous and the main attraction of Huntington Beach is the Surf and Skate scene. You can start by walking around and show appreciation to all the greats of the past and present in the Surfing Walk of Fame. You can also visit and learn in the International Surfing Museum. The only International Surfing Museum opened in July 1987. Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum was founded several decades ago by a woman who's never surfed. In fact, Natalie Kotsch came from a spot in Canada where there really wasn't any surfing. Huntington Central Park is the largest city-owned park in Orange County covering over 350 acres of land. This peaceful setting of open grass fields and extensive tree and flower plantings is used for various activities such as picnics, biking, playing, and strolling along the paved paths enjoying the serene atmosphere. Central Park West features the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center, a Disc Golf Course, Lake Huntington, Kathy May's Lakeview Cafe, Dog Park, the Shipley Nature Center, the Senior Center, and a covered picnic shelter available for rent. Walking trails run all over the park and you can walk or jog here easily as well as enjoy the flower gardens that showcase the local plant life perfectly.

Overall, previous visitors heaped praise on this part of the city, citing its diverse selection of shops and restaurants as reasons to return. However, a few lamented the lack of parking, particularly at night and on weekends, so consider arriving early or walking to the area.
